This policy explains how personal information is handled when you browse, shop, use those features or contact us. Our store is hosted by Shopify.

Information we collect and where it comes from

The information involved depends on how you use the Services:

• Contact and communications: your name, email, any phone number you provide, and the contents of inquiries or other messages you send us.
• Accounts and orders: if you create an account or shop through our store, information needed for the account or transaction, such as contact details, billing and shipping addresses, items ordered, order history and payment status. Payment providers process the payment information needed to complete a transaction; this does not mean that APLIN receives every payment credential they handle.
• Subscriptions: if you sign up for our newsletter, your email and subscription preferences.
• Reviews and submitted content: if you submit a review, the name or display name, rating, review text and any media you choose to provide, together with information used to manage or verify the review. Content you submit for publication may be visible to other visitors.
• Device and website activity: information such as your IP address, browser and device details, cookies or similar identifiers, pages viewed, interactions with products or content, and privacy preferences.
• Advertising and campaign activity: ad and campaign identifiers, referral information, website actions and measurement results, subject to the applicable settings and privacy choices. Our Amazon campaign's specific button-click measurement is explained below.

We receive information directly from you, automatically through website technologies, and from providers supporting the features you use, such as Shopify, payment and fulfillment services, review tools and advertising platforms.

How we use information

We use information to provide the website and requested store features; process and support orders, delivery, returns and accounts; respond to inquiries; manage reviews; remember preferences; and understand how the Services are used. Where you subscribe to marketing, we use your details to send those communications and manage your preferences.

We also use permitted website and campaign information to measure advertising, improve campaigns and support relevant advertising. Information may be used to investigate misuse, protect accounts and transactions, resolve disputes, and meet applicable recordkeeping or other legal obligations. The uses that apply to you depend on the features you use and the information involved.

Providers and disclosures

We disclose information to providers to the extent needed for the relevant service, including hosting, payments, fulfillment, customer support, reviews, content delivery, analytics and advertising. Our store integrations include:

• Shopify: store hosting and related commerce services, including the enhanced services described in the next section. See the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy.
• Meta: advertising and measurement tools, including the campaign click event described below. Meta may receive website activity, technical information and identifiers through its tools. See Meta's Privacy Policy.

• Judge.me: review collection, display and related review-request functionality. Depending on your interaction, relevant information can include review content, reviewer contact or display details, and purchase information used for review services. See Judge.me's Privacy Policy.
• ReelUp: shoppable video and embedded content features. Interacting with these features can involve technical information and content-engagement data. See ReelUp's Privacy Policy.

These descriptions do not mean that every provider receives every category of information or that every feature operates on every page. A provider may also process information for its own purposes as described in its policy. We may disclose information when you request a particular service or when reasonably necessary to respond to valid legal requirements, resolve claims, or protect the Services and the people using them.

Shopify and Shopify Network Intelligence

Shopify processes information about visits and transactions to provide and improve our store. Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled. Its enhanced services can use information from interactions with this store together with interactions with other merchants and Shopify, including for advertising and personalization. Information is shared with Shopify and relevant service providers, which may be located outside your country.

Shopify is responsible for its processing for these enhanced purposes and provides its own information and choices through the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and Shopify privacy portal. You can also use the store's privacy choices described below.

Cookies and advertising choices

Cookies and similar technologies support website operation, privacy preferences, analytics and advertising. Some functions are needed to provide the Services or remember a choice; optional uses depend on applicable requirements, settings and choices.

Use Your Privacy Choices — Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information to access the store's opt-out mechanism for advertising-related data sharing. Certain disclosures for advertising may be treated as a "sale", "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under applicable US state privacy laws. Our Amazon campaign page has a Privacy & measurement section where you can allow or reject optional analytics, marketing and advertising data sharing for this browser on this store. The choice is saved through Shopify's privacy tools. Rejecting optional measurement blocks that page's custom Meta button-click event. Changing a choice does not delete information a provider already received or change your settings in an external account.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): the campaign's custom Meta event remains blocked when the browser supplies a GPC signal, even if Allow optional measurement is selected. Shopify's privacy tools also use supported opt-out signals and preferences for applicable processing, including Shopify Network Intelligence advertising uses. Browser settings, applicable regions and individual integrations can affect the scope of a preference. Contact us if a privacy choice is unavailable or does not appear to take effect.

You can also use your browser's cookie controls and the linked providers' privacy settings. Restricting cookies may affect some store features. A store choice does not control information collected independently after you visit another website.

The Pink Tea Tree Cream Amazon campaign

When the required analytics, marketing and advertising data-sharing permissions are available, a real click on Buy on Amazon can send a custom event called AmazonOutboundClick to Meta. It contains the product identifier, campaign creative identifier, button location, whether the campaign link was matched, and US destination market. Meta's tools can also process standard technical information such as IP address, browser information and cookie identifiers.

This custom event records an outbound click, not an Amazon purchase. It does not include an Amazon order amount or payment details, and we do not add names, email addresses or phone numbers to its custom fields. If the required privacy permissions cannot be confirmed, this custom event is blocked. You can still continue to Amazon without allowing it.

The Buy on Amazon links open Amazon.com. Links for the six campaign creatives carry separate Amazon Attribution tags that identify the originating campaign and help measure product visits and purchases attributed to our advertising. The configured campaign links do not add your name or email address.

Rejecting optional measurement on this page does not remove the Amazon Attribution tag from the link. Once you continue to Amazon, Amazon handles activity on its services under the Amazon.com Privacy Notice and your Amazon settings. Checkout and payment take place on Amazon. Amazon attribution reporting is separate from our Meta button-click event.

Keeping information

Retention depends on the information and its purpose. Account information is kept while needed to provide and administer the account. Order and transaction records are kept while needed for fulfillment, returns, support, applicable tax or other recordkeeping obligations, and related disputes. Inquiry records are kept while needed to address the inquiry and related follow-up or claims.

Subscription information is kept while needed to provide requested communications and maintain preferences, including records needed to honor an opt-out. Reviews are kept while published or otherwise needed to manage the review and related requests. Website and advertising records are kept while useful for measurement, troubleshooting or fraud prevention, subject to applicable requirements and the relevant provider's retention settings.

When assessing a deletion request, we consider these purposes and any applicable obligation to retain particular records. Providers may have separate retention responsibilities for information they process for their own purposes. We do not promise a single retention period for all information or immediate removal of every copy held by another provider.

Your requests and communications preferences

Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have rights to request access to or a copy of personal information, correction, deletion, portability, or an opt-out of certain sale, sharing or targeted-advertising uses. These rights can be subject to conditions and exceptions.

To make a request, email aplincosme@gmail.com with the subject Privacy request and describe the request and the information or interaction concerned. Provide enough information to locate the relevant records, such as the email used with the store or an order reference where relevant. Do not send a password, full payment-card details or an identity document unless a suitable verification process has been explained to you.

We may need proportionate information to verify a request or an agent's authority, as permitted or required by applicable law. We will assess the request, respond within the applicable requirements and explain any reason we cannot fully fulfill it. Where a right to appeal applies, you can email the same address with Privacy appeal and the relevant request details. You may also contact the appropriate privacy authority where available. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

You can unsubscribe from promotional email through its unsubscribe option or by contacting us. This does not stop messages needed for an order, an account or a request you have made. Requests about a provider's independent processing may also be made through that provider's linked privacy resources.

Children, security and international processing

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information through the Services, contact us so that we can review and address the situation under applicable requirements.

No transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Please avoid sending sensitive information through ordinary contact messages and protect any account credentials you use.

We are based in Japan, and Shopify and other providers may process information in the United States or other countries. The location and applicable protections depend on the service and processing involved. You can contact us for information about the processing relevant to your interaction with us.
